The Style Edit: Easter Travel Essentials

The Style Edit: Easter Travel Essentials

One of my favourite holidays of the year is just around the corner... Easter! It's not only about spending time with the ones we love the most, but it's the time when we can indulge on the smooth, silky, sweet stuff we call chocolate! My parents always remind me back to when I was eight years old and I ate so much chocolate at Easter that I made myself sick.  They even have the photos to prove it, which I've never let out of my sight! It's funny to look back on moments like that and see ourselves growing up.

Now what I really look forward to is going back home to the country and enjoying the peace and serenity, with my parents being their usual funny selves. With that in mind, I've picked my current favourite items that include travel-wear, daywear and nightwear that will give you some tips on what to pack if you're heading away.

Let's start with travel-wear...

What's most important is comfort, right? Sitting in the car for hours on end, we really need to think about items that are soft against the skin and that can be adjusted easily. I've picked the Frieda Top in Navy (it's also available in red), paired with the Adrift Denim Skirt in White. The soft fabric of the Frieda Top is perfect for travel, with the easy adjustment of having buttons. The cuffs have stretch, which means you can easily roll them up or down to appease your own comfort. I love rolling them up, purely to give shape, while sustaining a relaxed feel.  Add our new curved tassel bag in navy, which is the perfect size to fit your essentials.

Let's talk day wear...

The Lucy Dress is by far an Adrift favourite and is easy to roll up into your suitcase for the weekend away. The weather is set to be beautiful so why not take this beauty to the park for an afternoon with the family. It's perfect for running around after the kids on a special Easter egg hunt! Being 100% cotton you'll feel cool no matter the weather!

Finally...heading out to dinner?

The long weekend may find you heading out for dinner with friends and family or hosting a soiree of your own. I've styled the Cherry Blossom Dress in Dotted White for a night-time casual feel, by adding simple nude heels and fringed earrings. The nude heels will elongate you legs and particularly if you find yourself on the shorter side, heels or wedges are a must with this maxi. You can easily change up this style to wear during the day by adding a tan coloured belt or giving the style a knot on one side.

Have a wonderful Easter weekend and I hope this has given you a few ideas of what to wear! I'd love you to leave feedback on the blog or you can email me at bec.h@adrift.com.au for any inquiries.

Bec xx
