The Style Edit: Styling Georgie Dress

Wouldn't you believe it...it's already Autumn! This change in season is when I start to keep a keen eye out for easy-wear, trans-seasonal pieces.  So far my vote is in for the Adrift Georgie Dress which can be worn multiple ways, whether that be adding a printed market bag, colour popping with tassel earrings,  or using a belt to change the shape.  The best part about this style is that it's available in multiple colours ( Stripes!! and plains), which you can find here on the Adrift website.

Let's start with adding a fun, printed bag and some tassel earrings... it sounds so simple  and guess what... it is! The Georgie is a great go-to because it requires no ironing (yes, I repeat NO IRONING!), so you can throw it on quickly when you're running to drop the kids to school or weekend sport.  As the weather begins to cool down, I like to throw on a fitted denim jacket and sneakers for the easy (but chic) weekday look. A top tip of mine to styling with denim jackets is to roll the sleeves up to create more definition through your middle section.

What if you're on the shorter side and you'd like to take some length from the dress? A belt is your key styling 'ingredient', as this instantly makes the dress a little shorter, whilst giving you more shape through your waist. I've used a tan belt in this case as black is too harsh when you're working with lighter colours. To give the outfit a more relaxed feel, I've bellowed the fabric over the belt. The outfit is complete with the Adrift chocolate gold fringed earrings...voilà!

My pick of the three styles... wearing the Georgie Dress off one shoulder. This starts to create more of an evening look, by giving a glimpse of a little more skin along the neckline. I've added nude heels, which elongate your legs, instantly giving you more height. If you prefer wedges, you easily swap these in that create the same effect (so worth the investment if you don't own a pair). I've styled the Adrift paper tassel earrings in cream with the vibrant beaded clutch that add a touch of colour, making this a fun night outfit for those of you (like me) that love colour.

I’d love to hear your thoughts about the Georgie dress and your thoughts on how I've styled it multiple ways. Feel free to leave feedback on the blog or you can email me at bec.h@adrift.com.au for any inquiries.
