HOW TO MEASURE

When measuring yourself, if possible, do so in front of a mirror to ensure the most accurate measurements. Use these measurements as a guide and add extra allowance based on your preferred fit.

BUST - Measure around your chest, at the fullest part of your bra. Ensure the tape measure is even and horizontal across your shoulder blades.

WAIST - Measure around the smallest part of your waist, this is usually a centimetre or so above your belly button. Wrap the tape measure around, ensuring it's comfortable but not loose.

HIP - Measure around the fullest part of your bottom or top of thighs, whichever is the widest. Make sure the tape measure is close to your body, but don’t pull too tight.

PANT LENGTH - Our pant length measurement is taken from the top of the outer side seam down to the hem, including the waistband.

Notes from Our Designers

We designed the Lainey Shorts with an A-line silhouette because it gives a generous, comfortable fit through the hip and thigh without feeling boxy or restrictive. The longer inseam and wide hem provide good coverage, and the tucked stitch detail along the front panels adds a subtle structured quality that makes these feel considered rather than casual.

The stretch denim blend was an important choice here. We wanted the look and weight of a proper dark wash denim but with enough give that you can actually move freely in them, whether you are walking along the beach, running errands or sitting through a long lunch. The high waist sits securely with no pulling or gaping, and the deep side pockets are genuinely useful. This is a new silhouette for us and one we are really pleased with.
